I was wondering if any one was involved with any organization that deals with abused children?  I am involved with a organization called CASA that means Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children. I am from the US so I know some may not be familiar with CASA.

Just a little about what we do. After the state OCS removes a chid from a abusive home that refers to all kinds of abuse. OCS has the case but a judge will appoint CASA .To follow up behind OCS and make sure all the childs needs are met like counseling medical care and exc.And that the child has been placed in agood home foster care these people have been trained and take care of the child while it is in there home.

I presently have two cases I am working on.I attend all meetings on behalf of the child. Also I will present a report to the judge when the case goes to court.On what I feel is in the best interest of the child at this time OCS will present there report also. CASA and OCS work closely together for helping  these children get through this very traumatic time in there life.

Also I visit these children every month .You could not believe how these little children reach out to you. My heart just pours out to them being a abused child myself I can relate to how they feel. And I won't them to know there is someone they can trust to do the right thing.

My main reason for this post is.To let you know when you get involved wih helping abused children. It some how makes your own healing process easier.In one way your helping each other. My therapist was the one who tolded me about CASA and said I would be good at it. I owe him abig thanks.

I am glad I can be a part of these childrens lives. Each one of them have brought a great joy to me. I am a better person for having them been in my life. And I hope in some way I have made a difference in theres.
