Some people make me so mad!


The man who runs our local boys and girls club ( which my 9yr old son attended) has been questioned by police and had the club shut down, apparantly he's been 'messing' with young girls and taking photo's of them, shocking I know! but the people in my area are of the opinion that there can be no truth in it, he's a lovely man, he's not like that, he's been good to those kidz for years, it's rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


People (who haven't been abused) seem to think that if a person is kind and respected bla bla bla is uncapable of being an abuser. It makes me mad! cos I'd believe any child that came to me with their SECRET! cos no-one makes this stuff up!


I wish sometimes now, I had told when i was a little girl, cos if any of my children came to me I'd belive them, but I was a child I just didn't know!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's so sad!!!!!!!!!!!

some people have no idea some people want to have no idea at least this man has been exposed for what he is even if the majority of people have no understanding.


People like this pillars of our community groom children adults are blinkered they don't want to understand because it may effect them.


not sure of the statistics but a high proportion of those *b*s*ng children are "nice" everyday names who you say hello too in the highstreet.


I also would believe any child that told me we cannot have if onlys fromour past we need to move on if that makes sense

i agree people do walk around with blinkers on when it comes to abuse because they afraid to know that some people are like that but when the few that do believe proove the it was true then the rest say oh i should have listened well i'm sorry its to late then the damage has already been done you should always listen to a child and trust in what they say or they could end up on here ( no offence meant i think this site is great and a great help ) its usualy nice normal people that abuse you cant say oh he looks nice or he is nice he couldnt do that bull s**t sorry am just really agry just now at people who abuse kids

I shear in all your anger I read your post and couldn't beleive it, I want to scream, I would have thought with the increass of the media of past years that poeple would be more aware!


Don't poeple know, it's always the pillers of the community's the trusted ones, thats how the B#########d's get away with it, becuase "oh no there so nice, there wouldn't do that"


Maddness Absolutue MADDNESS!!!!!


Children are so vunrable, why are poeple not more careful!!!


I am sorry not much help I just can't beleive it!


Sorry if I sounded angry just poeple theys alot of media attention on this issue these days, and yet poeple don't realise that it's not always the Stranger it's the trusted person, look how many prists do this! I mean do poeple walk arond with there eyes closed.


I am sorry but it makes me so angry.

I find that despicable! It's 2004 after all!
I'm sorry you had to experience this where you live- we all like to think we can count on our neighbours to understand these things and it's quite frightening to discover they don't.
All we can do is to keep trying to get the message out that there is no 'type' of person who does this. Sites like this and support groups for friends and family help but until people start talking about it in their communities not a lot will change. I am afraid I have no solutions to enable that to happen.
Just remember that there are those of us out there who understand and you are not alone.

Lark was reading what your wrote and it reminded me of something I read in the paper, awhile back now. And your rit it's 2004!!! I read that in the area (county) I live there are over 842 poedofiles living here!!!!! I find this so alarming who are they were are they. I saw an advert on channel four last night. it was a mother father and duaghter. the faher had the duagter on his lap and she was portride as a pupet, the mother ask her are you ok, and the father was speaking for the duagther, I am fine can I go know. it was a horribale horriable advert but so brings it home and good that it's beening done as it will make poeple aware.

I dont want to know the statistics for where I live!
I have not seen any adverts like that in Australia but your post reminded me of a song by a pop band called 'lush' titled 'the childcatcher'. It is extremely insightful and I wont post the lyrics as it might upset people but you could look up the lyrics with google if you were interested. I've got the song on my computer and it still makes me cry sometimes but yes, it is good that these things exist just so others might understand.
