hi,

I posted almost the same somewhere else, but if you missed it here it is again.

I found out since my childhood that if I watch something funny or happy on T.V. before going to sleep, my nightmares turn into happy dreams. It functions most of the time and it becomes part of the dreams. I have 16 hours of Tom and Jerry on video tapes which are my favorite. Try it and it will give you lovely dreams and you will get rested. Sweet dreams then.

Thanks for the advice Sue.

Does anyone else have any good ideas for sleeping.  I know a lot of us have trouble when it gets dark - suggestions and comments would be welcome.

Jamie

I love these little things!

you might find this strange

but i have a picture of my jill my x girlfriend on my computer in the beroom which i leave on all night. she is the only one i have ever felt safe with and she was the only person that could stop me from dreaming  so i say goodnight to her and if i do have a dream it calms me down

i also hold on to a small teddy when i am sleeping because i used to have one and cuddle up to it when i was being abused

i am 45 and that works for me

Hi,

I am 43 and my Teddy is replaced by my Kitty . She is 25 months and 12 days now and since 25 months and 7 days she takes care of my nightmares. My husband used to poke me and say waaaaaaake up but she caress my face with her hand and keep kissing till I tell her it is O.K. let's sleep but she stays awake to guard me. Sometimes I feel depressed that an animal can be more tender than a human but she thinks that I am her mummy and I think she is the best daughter anyone can have and do not laugh I mean it. Sue

Hi
I have those sort of hallucinatory dreams where you arent quite asleep but youre not awake either and I have a system- light, bear, lemonade.
My lamp is right beside my bed- as is my bear and the lemonade I drink because the sugar completely wakes me up and shakes off the dream.
I used to go to sleep with radio on but I seem to have conquered that now.
I also use a method where I list in my mind all the things I DONT want to dream about before I sleep and hey presto! I dont dream about them! This halted a series of very unpleasant nights.
Best
Lark
